Cal Agent

Effective: October 18, 2026

Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Cal Agent, operated by Cal Agent ("we", "us"). By signing up as a host or booking a meeting as a guest, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

1. The service

Cal Agent provides booking links, calendar integration, email and SMS confirmations and reminders, an AI assistant that handles guest replies, show-up estimates, and meeting attendance alerts. Features may change as we improve the product.

2. Host accounts

  • You are responsible for your account and for the calendars and conferencing accounts you connect.
  • You must have a genuine reason to contact the people who book with you. The texts we send are about the meetings they booked, not marketing.
  • Show-up estimates are guidance for planning a meeting. Don't use them to make decisions about anyone's eligibility for employment, credit, housing, insurance or similar, and don't use them to discriminate.

3. Guests

Give accurate contact details when you book. If you agree to texts, you can reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help. Msg & data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

4. Acceptable use

  • No spam, harassment, unlawful content, or messages that break telecom rules or carrier policies.
  • Don't try to get around rate limits or security controls, probe the service, or access data that isn't yours.
  • Don't use Cal Agent to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or violate the terms of the services it connects to (Google, Microsoft, Zoom, Twilio and others).

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

5. Automated actions

The SMS assistant can confirm, cancel or reschedule meetings based on a guest's replies, within the settings the host chooses. It can misunderstand a message. Hosts should review important bookings, and either party can contact the other directly.

6. Third-party services

Cal Agent relies on outside providers such as calendar, video meeting, SMS, email and AI providers. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and an outage on their side can delay or prevent messages and calendar updates.

7. Your data

You keep ownership of the information you put into Cal Agent. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. No warranty

Cal Agent is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every message will be delivered, or that every guest will show up.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as missed meetings or lost business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose (or US$50 if you paid nothing).

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Cal Agent at any time. Hosts can disconnect calendars from the dashboard and email mquinnstewart@gmail.com to have their account and data deleted.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date above and tell hosts about significant changes. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms. Questions: mquinnstewart@gmail.com.
